Colleges reschedule commencements

Lycoming College will hold commencement on Oct. 4 for students to have the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive diplomas in front of friends and family.

The ceremony will include speakers and the announcement of the Chieftain Award winner. The event will be livestreamed for those who are unable to make the trip to campus.

In addition, recognizing that many students need their degrees to pursue post-graduate opportunities, the college has slated a virtual event for May 16 to confer degrees.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology has chosen to combine the spring commencement with the summer ceremonies on Aug. 8. The spring event had originally been scheduled for May 15 and 16.
