Leadership Lycoming deadline extended

Knoebel’s postpones opening indefinitely

Knoebel’s Amusement Resort has announced that off-season projects are on hold and the park’s 2020 season is postponed until further notice, according to the park’s website.

Staff members are available to assist customer from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 800-487-4386 or by email.

“We ask for your patience, as we expect an increase in inquiries,” the park’s website said.

The park is accepting new reservations for June 1 through Nov. 1 with the caveat that reservations can be modified based on thr actual opening date.

“Our guests and team members are providing hope for the brighter days ahead,” the statement on the website said. “Guests are reaching out, requesting new reservations and providing assurance they’ll be here when we open, and many team members have expressed their desire to get back to work. We couldn’t be more appreciative of this support and hope you know we’re eager to welcome everyone back as soon as safely possible.”

Manufacturer contributes

First Quality Enterprises Inc. recently announced financial contributions of $2 Million Dollars — $1.35 million to hospitals and $650,000 to food banks in communities where First Quality’s plants are located.

Recipients include the Central PA Food Bank, Lock Haven Hospital, Jersey Shore Hospital, Red Eye Center, The New Love Center and the Salvation Army.

“As you are well aware, the United States and the rest of the world is currently being challenged by the hardship created by Covid-19; and our first responders, healthcare workers, and charitable organizations continue to deal with this unprecedented pandemic and strain on our communities and healthcare system,” a news release said. “First Quality’s top priorities have been the health and safety of our team members and maintaining business continuity so that we can fulfill our responsibilities to our workforce, customers, consumers and our communities.”

The manufacturer also has made product donations to various organizations including the Red Cross so that they may assist those being impacted by the virus, the news release said.
