Williamsport’s City Hall remains mostly closed to the public, with the exception being codes offices where residents can obtain permits. The codes office has appropriate Centers for Disease Control guidelines in place, Mayor Derek Slaughter said.

Taxes may continue to be paid by dropping them off at the metal box outside of City Hall, said Nicholas Grimes, city treasurer.

City Council will hold public meetings by Zoom remote technology, Council President Randall J. Allison said.
