Route 220 Safety Improvement Project will continue next week
Those who are planning on traveling on Route 220 in Woodward and Piatt townships should plan on being alert as the Route 220 Safety Improvement Project will continue during off-peak hours.
The work will include guiderail removal, shoulder widening, sewer relocation, overhead utility relocation as well as other miscellaneous construction activities.
Paving operations should begin mid-June according to a state Department of Transportation news release.
Motorists traveling through should look out for alternating lane closures and changing traffic patterns as well as slowing down and driving with increased caution.
The total project is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2022, addressing many conflicting traffic movements and providing safer places for U-turns.
