Light rain and cloudy skies for voting day
Today, individuals who are planning on taking their vote at the polls in the areas should bring an umbrella with them in the morning but can expect to see the showers dissipate as the day continues.
“It is going to be cloudy with some light showers over the area as a weak warm front tries to move through the area,” Greg DeVoir, meteorologist with the State College National Weather Service, said.
There will be a 40 percent chance of showers, specifically in the morning time according to DeVoir.
“It all depends on the person. I don’t see there being enough rain to deter people from going out and voting,” he said.
The polls will be open throughout the day, opening at 7 a.m. and closing at 8 p.m.
Temperatures will be in the low 70s DeVoir said.
“It will still be pretty mild temperatures in the lower 70s, but it won’t be as nice as it has been in the past couple of days,” he said.
At night, there will again be a 40 percent chance of showers, leaving enough room for individuals to go outside and stand in line to take their votes.
“All in all, not a bad day,” DeVoir said.
