County approves signage agreement for White Deer Golf Course

Lycoming County commissioners approved an agreement with Pennsylvania College of Technology for new signage at the White Deer Golf Course entrance at their meeting Thursday.

Under the agreement, the county and the school will split construction costs for the digital sign estimated at $30,000.

The college’s Earth Sciences Center is located at the golf complex.

Commissioners took action on no other business during the meeting.

However, several longtime employees were honored for their service to the county.

Roxanne Grieco, director of Human Resources, was recognized for 30 years of employment.

Employees recognized for 20 years of service were Aaron Geiser, adult probation, and Brian Vargo, county prison.

Ten-year service awards were given to Ashley Harman, Register and Recorders office; Luke Ellison, adult probation; and Lyndsay Cannon, Pre-Release Center.

The commissioners will next meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Executive Plaza, 330 Pine St., Williamsport.

There will be no meeting Thursday, Aug. 13.
