State: 98 new confirmed cases in Tioga, Lycoming counties
Lycoming County has 61 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, according to data from the state Department of Health.
According to the state data released Wednesday, 17 people in Lycoming County are hospitalized for COVID-19, while 3 are on ventilators. The data says 33 people in Lycoming County have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
Tioga County has 37 new confirmed cases while Clinton County has 28 new confirmed cases. Tioga County does not have any hospitalizations while Clinton County has 4. Neither Tioga nor Clinton counties have any COVID-19 patients using ventilators.
As of Wednesday Lycoming County has 1,357 confirmed cases total, Tioga County has 566 and Clinton County has 392.
Tioga County has lost 7 lives to COVID-19 while Clinton County has lost 9.
Sullivan County has 32 confirmed cases of COVID-19 total as of Wednesday and 1 death. Union County has 977 confirmed cases and 13 deaths while Montour County has 362 confirmed cases total and 14 deaths. Northumberland County, with a population of about 90,000, has 1,921 confirmed cases total and 119 deaths.
The state reported 281,852 confirmed and probable cases Wednesday, an increase of 6,339 cases from Tuesday.
