State reports 53 more confirmed cases in Lycoming County

According to Pennsylvania Department of Health data released Tuesday, Lycoming County has 1,296 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 53 from the 1,243 confirmed cases the state reported on Monday.

Tioga County has 529 cases as of Tuesday, an increase of 23 confirmed cases from the 506 reported on Monday.

There are 275,513 cases – both confirmed and probable – in Pennsylvania as of Tuesday, according to the Department of Health’s website, which reports a 67% recovery rate. The website says a recovery is any case that “has not been reported as a death, and … is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test” or onset of symptoms.

Lycoming County has had 33 deaths total since the pandemic began, according to the state data Tuesday, while Tioga County has had 7 deaths and Clinton County has had 9.

The state reported 364 confirmed cases in Clinton County thus far on Tuesday, with 4,988, 968 and 105 confirmed cases in Centre, Union and Potter counties respectively.
