Giving Thanks

Chef Mark Williams and volunteer

Linell Stabler prepare stuffing and

macaroni and cheese in the American Rescue Workers kitchen on Wednesday morning. The kitchen has been a busy place the

last few days, preparing for their annual

Thanksgiving dinner. Williams and his team

of volunteers have cooked and deboned 48

turkeys. The American Rescue Workers say

the event feeds about 300 people in a typical

year. The American Rescue Workers 2021

Community Thanksgiving Dinner is drivethru/walk-up only from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at

643 Elmira St. The meals are free. The American Rescue Workers organization also is

providing meals to go for first responders

working on Thanksgiving.
