First Friday brings community together

All of the elements were working together: Sunshine, a light breeze, artisans and community members came together for July’s First Friday event downtown. Vendors of all kinds lined West Fourth and Pine streets. Local artists, bakers, soap makers and jewelry makers were selling their products and interacting with visitors. Joan Grimord, of English Hill Books and Art, sits with her dog, Amy, at her booth. Joan and her husband Peter, of Bloomsburg, run the booth together and sell pen and ink art and children’s books. Some artists could even be seen making live art. Cass and the Bailout Crew was set and ready to perform at the corner of West Fourth and Pine streets.
