Unityville woman charged with several animal offenses

A Unityville woman in possession of nine dogs has been charged with failing to keep the canines confined to her premises and obtain the property licensing required of dog owners, officials with the Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement said in an affidavit.

Alexandria K Sabol, 32, of 632 Hall Road, Unityville, was charged with the offenses after two of her dogs, a redbone coonhound and a foxhound, were allegedly videotaped running unrestrained approximately two miles from her home in the 1700 block of Mordan Hollow Road, around 1 p.m. on Nov. 24, 2024.

On Jan. 10, authorities visited the home and left a written request for proof that all nine dogs had received their rabies vaccinations and licenses had been acquired for all the canines on the premises.

As of Jan. 30, no such proof had been provided, according to court documents.

Sabol was arraigned before District Judge Kirsten Gardner on two counts of failing to confine dogs not part of a kennel and failure to secure a dog license.

Starting at $2.99/week.
