Lycoming County Fair opens 154th year with traditional harness races

Harness races kicked off opening day of the Lycoming County Fair on Wednesday. In it’s 154th year, the long-running agricultural fair features locally handcrafted art in various mediums, horticulture displays, a petting zoo and commercial exhibits along with 4-H animal barns and equestrian arena. Rides open tonight at 5 p.m. and grandstand entertainment begins on Friday with the Bulls and Barrels rodeo night. Tractor pulls, demolition derbies and pro wrestling are also on the schedule, which can be found online at lycomingfair.net.
