Nancy L. Jones

Nancy L. Jones, 80, of Belhaven, N.C., formerly of Williamsport, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017.

Born December 23, 1936, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Dorothy (Burns) Parker.

Nancy graduated from Williamsport High School in 1954. She retired from Williamsport Area School District after more than 20 years. As a member of St James Episcopal Church, Belhaven, N.C., she spent many years helping with Vacation Bible School and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Nancy had a love of art and will be remembered through her many paintings.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald S. Jones Sr., of Belhaven N.C.; her daughters, Vickie (Douglas) Overdorff and Sherrie Sholder, all of Williamsport; her son, Steven (Lauri) Mundrick, of Elimsport; her step daughter, Candance (George) Cleveland, of Oxford, Conn.; her step sons, Donald S. Jones Jr., of Orange, Conn. and David Jones, of North Windham, Conn.; her sister, Jean Marie Roegner; and her brother, William “Bill” (Elaine) Parker, all of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a step daughter, Amy Farquaharson.

A funeral service was held on May 12, 2017, at St. James Episcopal Church, Belhaven, N.C. Funeral services and inurnment in the Church Columbarium will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
