Ellen Louise Heim Davis

Ellen Louise Heim Davis, 87, of Williamsport, passed away, Saturday, July 22, 2017, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. “Ted” Davis.

Born May 21, 1930, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late William E. Heim and Kathryn Elizabeth Mincemoyer.

Ellen was a 1948 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a respected local Realtor for many years. She was a Licensed Realtor with Betty Steinbacher Real Estate where she was a member of the Lycoming County Board of Realtors, Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Ellen and her husband Ted Davis, a local photographer, were also real estate investors.

Although Ellen was an active Real Estate Agent for many years, she developed a special interest in Real Estate Appraising and continued her education to become a Licensed Real Estate Broker and then earned the coveted nationally recognized designation of SRA. She was one of only 3 appraisers in Lycoming County to have acquired that special professional designation at that time. She owned and operated Ellen H. Davis Appraisals for many years out of the Ted Davis Studios on Hepburn Street in Williamsport where she worked alongside her husband of more than 50 years before his death in 2008 ended that marital union.

Surviving are a niece, several nephews, several cousins and many dear and close friends.

At Ellen’s request, there will be no visitation and the funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in Wildwood Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
