Gary R. Weaver, 64, of South Williamsport, passed away peacefully at The Gatehouse while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017. He was born in Williamsport on April 27, 1953, the son of Clinton and Flora Strayer Weaver.

Gary was a 1971 graduate of South Williamsport High School and had attended the former WACC, now Penn College of Technology. He worked in several departments at Williamsport Hospital retiring, from shipping operations after 25 years of service.

A motorcycle enthusiast, he was active in many BMW Motorcycle Clubs and actively participated in many social networks, Gary enjoyed surfing the internet. In addition to motorcycles, music played a big part of his life and he played both the keyboard and guitar, but his greatest joy came from being with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, the former Deeann Rhoads; his four children, Elizabeth Weaver (Rusty Repman), Megan Weaver, twins Tyler Weaver (Lauren Wachter), Victoria Weaver (Nick Laylon); two grandchildren, Lillian Weaver and Xavier Repman.

A Life Celebration and benefit will be announced at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, to help defray medical and funeral expenses.
