David A. ‘Picky’ Bower

David A. “Picky” Bower, 55, a resident of Montgomery, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at his residence. Born Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1963, in Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pa., he was a son of the late Clifford and Betty (Cameron) Bower.

Dave was a 1981 graduate of Montgomery High School and earned a masonry degree in 1983 from the former Williamsport Area Community College. He was employed as a sewer plant operator by the Montgomery Water and Sewer Authority.

Picky was an avid hunter, enjoyed NASCAR racing and family picnics. He was a member of the Last Arrow Hunting Camp in Tioga County.

He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Connie Bennett; one daughter, Tiffany Bower, of Montgomery; one stepdaughter, Becky Houseknecht, of Ralston; three brothers, Gary and wife Diane Cameron, of Montgomery, John Bower, of Montgomery, Clifford and wife Cindy Bower, of Williamsport; and one sister, Mary Buck, of Hughesville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, eight nieces and nine nephews.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Clinton Volunteer Fire Station, 2311 Route 54, Montgomery.
