Patricia Ann (Pat) Eddinger
Patricia Ann (Pat) Eddinger died peacefully on Tuesday Nov. 5, 2019, at Susque-View Home in Lock Haven, at the age of 91.
Pat was born Oct. 5, 1928, in South Williamsport, and graduated from Williamsport High School in 1947. She was the daughter of noted local portraitist George C. Eddinger and Mena (Frick) Eddinger, both natives of Williamsport, and with whom Pat shared a home on Mountain Avenue until their passing. She is survived by two nephews, Daniel Eddinger, of Trenton, Ga., and Michael Eddinger, of Weston, Fla. She was preceded in death by a beloved brother, George Daniel Eddinger, of Ormond Beach, Fla.
Pat loved music, nature and all things gardening, especially bright spring flowers and songbirds. She held an almost encyclopedic biblical knowledge, the fruitage of a lifetime in pursuit of her real love, spiritual truth. Baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on June 8, 1952, she devoted several decades to sharing her faith with others in full-time preaching work, despite several debilitating health challenges.
Pat never married or had children but had a rich and fulfilling life, enjoying many, many close friendships throughout her lifetime, as evidenced by the hundreds of hand-written correspondences she left behind. She will be deeply missed by the many spiritual brothers and sisters she had in the Williamsport area and far beyond.
