Marysue Bartlett

Marysue Bartlett, 80, of Muncy, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at The Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Born April 3, 1939, in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma (Johnson) Shultz. On Aug. 20, 1955, she married Jack Lavern Bartlett, who preceded her in death Oct. 13, 2018. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Marysue began her career as a sales clerk at the former Wallace’s Pharmacy, Montoursville. She also worked at Rite Aid Pharmacy, Hess’s, J.C. Penny’s and Weis Markets for many years.
She was a former member of Muncy Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.
An avid book lover, Marysue enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles and adult coloring books. She liked playing Scrabble and Setback at the river lot, knowing she was the only woman brave enough to play with the competitive men. Marysue loved spending time with their dog, Chloe, and her family, especially camping and going out for dinner. She also enjoyed watching Penn State Football.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and Lon Singer, of Montoursville, and Heidi and Rodger Emery, of Riverside; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a stepsister, Shirley Anspach, of Turbotville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Scott and Steven Bartlett.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Hartzell, officiating.
Burial will be held privately in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either West House Personal Care Home, 616 W.
