Rev. John O. Bubb

Rev. John O. Bubb, 94, longtime Williamsport resident, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at The Williamsport Home.

He attended Williamsport schools and was a graduate of Williamsport High School. He was also a graduate of Nyack College in Nyack, N.Y., where he had studied the Bible and became an ordained minister in The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1945.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2006, the former Betty Jean Spittler Bubb. Rev. Bubb had been an ordained and practicing minister in The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for his whole adult life, mostly in New Jersey in several communities.

Surviving are his daughter, Darla Canney, of Roselle, N.J., his two sons, David Bubb, of Rahway, N.J., and Gary C. Bubb, of Quincy, Mass. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Krysten Bubb, of Roselle, N.J. Also surviving are his sister, Miss Margaret A. Bubb, of Williamsport, and his brother, William Bubb, of Flagler Beach, Fla.

Burial will be made at Cloverleaf Park Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J. There will be no visitation and flowers will be provided.
