Lee L. Merrill

Lee L. Merrill, 88, of Loganton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born May 10, 1931, in Woolrich, he was a son of the late Lemuel and Ellen (Rhinehart) Merrill.

Lee was married to the former Doris E. Holdren on March 14, 1953. They celebrated 67 years of marriage together.

He worked for Alcan Cable as an electrician.

Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and trips to Alaska and Canada.

Surviving are his loving wife, two sons, Arthur L. (Terri) Merrill and Jerry (Gail) Merrill, both of Loganton; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Lee is also survived by a sister, Elda Mae Holdren, of Loganton.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard; and a sister, Betty Merrill.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, at the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, 2305 E. Winter Road, Loganton, with Rev. Kenneth Guisewite officiating.

Friends and relatives will be received at the church one-hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
