Melissa S. Matlack

Melissa S. “Missi” Matlack, 40, of Williamsport, went home to be with the Lord May 16, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late William J. Matlack Sr., and Kimberly A (Tedesco) Matlack.

Missi loved her family and the Lord above all things. She loved rock painting, crafting, coloring, playing with Play-Doh and board games with her boys. She enjoyed fishing, sitting by the fire pit, camping and being outdoor in nature with her family. She also loved watching her boys play together and watching Griffin play sports.

Missi had an infectious laugh that made everyone smile. She inherited her love of music from her dad.

Missi gave from her heart and was a compassionate, loving, caring person. She took care of her dad when he was dying from cancer, cared for the elderly and those with physical challenges.

She loved making their place in the country and nature a home for her boys and her fiance Brian.

Missi graduated from South Williamsport High School and received her degree in human services from Pennsylvania College of Techonology.

Surviving besides her mother, Kimberly Matlack, of DuBoistown are two sons, Griffin Kohler, of Montoursville, and Ryley McKenzie, at home; her brothers Matthew J. Tedesco (Lori), William Matlack Jr. and Richard Matlack; her maternal grandmother, Marian Tedesco; her fiance, Brian McKenzie; her nephews that she loved with all her heart, Jude, Memphis and Cash; and aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Missi was preceded in death by her father, her brother, Michael; maternal grandfather, Patrick A Tedesco, who taught her about the Lord’s love and redemption; and her paternal grandparents Nora and Harold Matlack.

There will be no visitations.

Arrangements are being handled by Morse & Kleese Funeral Home Inc., Canton.

In lieu of flowers her family respectfully suggest donations be made to a memorial fund planned for her boys through Jersey Shore State Bank.
