Margaret ‘Marge’ ‘Tootie’ (Laubscher) Miller

Margaret “Marge” “Tootie” (Laubscher) Miller, 82, of Lock Haven, as a believer in the Lord and surrounded by those who loved her, God took her home on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

Born in Lock Haven, on April 7, 1938, she was the daughter of Nevin K. Sr. and Vera (Probst) Laubscher.

She was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and the former Williamsport School of Nursing.

A registered nurse, she was formerly employed by the Dixmont Mental Hospital and the Veteran’s Administration, both of Pittsburgh.

She enjoyed reading, traveling and jigsaw puzzles.

Marge had a particular love for animals, especially her three fur babies, a love for all of her caretakers the last three years of her life, particularly Heidi Potter, and her true love, Mark, throughout her life.

She attended the Swissdale United Methodist Church and the Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Tootie is survived by her four brothers, Nevin Kenneth Laubscher Jr. (Rosemary), of Lock Haven, Stephen Laubscher (Victoria), Lock Haven, Harry Laubscher (Regina), Lock Haven, and Samuel Laubscher (Pamela), of Lamar; along with several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, at 11 a.m., in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, PA d/b/a Cremation Society of North Central Pennsylvania. (Parking is located behind the funeral home along Cherry Alley) with Pastor George C. Grossman Jr., officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Marge’s name to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745, or to Swissdale United Methodist Church, 94 E. Croak Hollow Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745, or to the Walnut Baptist Church, 201 W. Highland St., Avis, PA 17721. Private Interment will be held in Swissdale Cemetery.

In keeping with CDC guidelines and at the request of the family all in attendance must wear facial coverings along with practicing social distancing.
