Jason Emory Swisher
Jason Emory Swisher, born August 29, 1950, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2020 in Indiana while visiting his son and family. Jason was predeceased by parents, Harold and Louise (Botsford) Swisher, and an infant sister, Kim Louise.
Jason is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann Marie (Hunter) Swisher, son Heath (Amanda), and granddaughters, Megan and Madison. He had one brother, Steven (Elizabeth), of Hughesville; four sisters: Virginia Hebda, of Rochester, NY, Jane (Bob) Kschinka, of Pinehurst, NC, Donna (Dennis) Gavitt, of Hughesville, and Sandra (Schuyler) Bill, of Chemung, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to auctions, collecting many interesting outdoor memorabilia. Jason was quite an entertainer. He could outwit anyone with his “made-up” sayings, and make people laugh with his “stories,” and, what he didn’t knowÃ-he would make up!
Jason was a mason and could build or fix anything. He always enjoyed “putzing” around in his garage, as he used to say, but most of all, he loved his family.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” at the Friends Church, 137 S. Third St., Hughesville, on Aug. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. Please come, enjoy and share stories of Jason’s life with his family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hughesville Friends Church in Jason’s name.
The family of Jason Swisher would sincerely like to thank all of our family, friends and the Friends Church family for food, cards, acts of kindness, and most of all your many prayers. We truly appreciated them.
