Beatrice A. ‘Bea’ Cooper
Beatrice A. “Bea” Cooper, 79, a resident of Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020 at her residence. Born Saturday, July 19, 1941 in Milton, Northumberland Co., Pa., she was a daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Neitz) Younger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cooper.
Bea was a 1959 graduate of Montgomery/Clinton High School. She was employed as a secretary by the former Montgomery Mills.
She was a member of Clinton Baptist Church and a social member of Bower-Decker American Legion Post 251 at Montgomery where she was also a member of the ladies auxiliary.
Bea is survived by three stepsons, Rusty Cooper, Barry Cooper, and Kelly Cooper. She is also survived by five siblings, June Snyder of Montgomery; Fred and wife Rita Younger of Montgomery; Robert and wife Ruth Younger of Watsontown; Sharon Younger of Montgomery; Kathy Munson of Williamsport; and 11 nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Younger.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m. from Clinton Baptist Church, 60 Warren St., Montgomery, with David Jacobs, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
