Benjamin L. Stoner

Benjamin L. Stoner, 86, of Hepburn Township, died Nov. 25, 2020, at Embassy at Loyalsock.

He was born Dec. 4, 1933 in Proctor, a son of the late Howard and Lucretia (Bryan) Stoner.

Ben was a 1953 Montoursville High School graduate. He was married Jan. 20, 1957, to the former Kathryn A. Schon at Bethel United Methodist Church, where he is still a member. He retired from Stroehmann’s Bakery, was a member of YMRC, and enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Bower, five brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are four sons, James (Theresa) Stoner, Harry (Linda) Stoner, Thomas (Jewel) Stoner, and Shawn (Christina) Stoner; a daughter, Ellen (William) Holmes; a brother, Richard Stoner; two sisters, Joyce Smith and Nancy Hill; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Montoursville Cemetery with Rev. James Behrens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 717 Kimble Hill Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.

Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
