Keith L. Witmer

Keith L. Witmer, 67 of St. Thomas passed away Nov. 15, 2020 at Chambersburg Hospital. He had a strong spirit and overcame many health challenges over the years, but passed due to complications of COVID-19. Keith was born Sept. 13, 1953 in Lykens, and lived in Berrysburg, with his family Donald and Lorraine (Witmer) Ferree. Loving son, father, husband, brother and grandfather – Keith will be deeply missed.

Keith was predeceased by his father Donald and first wife Kathleen (McCloskey) mother of his son Travis. He is survived by his mother Lorraine Ferree of Berrysburg; son Travis Witmer (Tammy Winfield) of Corvallis, OR; his current wife Barbara (Clopper) Witmer of St. Thomas, and daughter Holly Hemler (Allen) of Chambersburg; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as his sister Kandy Ferree (Laine Nauman) and nephew Max of Frenchtown, NJ and a large extended family.

Most recently, he was employed as a bus driver for Shalom Christian Academy where he was dedicated to and loved by the students and staff. Keith had a long history in car and motorcycle sales including owning his own business – Redemption Cycles, in Williamsport.

He was a longtime member of The Road Knights motorcycle club of Williamsport, where he served as President for many years. He shared his gifts through a lifetime of community service including serving as a volunteer firefighter for Engine Company #26 of Berrysburg, and participating in countless motorcycle charity rides in recent years. He loved riding his Harley.

Keith was a gentle giant, generous, loving and a loyal friend to many.

Per his wishes, a traditional funeral service will not be held at this time. Instead, a celebration of life will be hosted by the family when it is safe to gather. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. of Chambersburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
