Glenn Douglas “Doug” Blackwell
Glenn Douglas “Doug” Blackwell, 64, of Coudersport, Pa., passed at UPMC Susquehanna on Oct. 16, 2021.
Doug was born Oct. 27, 1956, a son of Glenn Norman and June (Roupp) Blackwell.
He has been a service manager for AJ’s Outdoor Power Equipment. He was a graduate of Liberty High School and earned an associate degree in electronics from the former W.A.C.C., now Penn College of Technology. He was the rock of his family and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. His humor was unlike any other, and he was truly loved by many.
His wife, the former RaeAnette Marvin, and him would have celebrated their 18th anniversary on Dec. 5, 2021.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Christopher (Gayle) Blackwell of Radcliff, Ky. and Bryan Blackwell of Morris; step-son, Francis (Lorraine) Ayers of Gillett, Pa.; grandson they are raising, Michael Glenn Douglas Blackwell; grandchildren, Madison Blackwell, Svea Ayers, Akera Ayers, Duncin Ayers, Evelina Ayers and Sebastian Ayers; mother, June Blackwell of Morris, Pa.; mother-in-law, Carolyn V. Brown of Phoenix; siblings, Kurt Blackwell of Morris Twp., Pa.; Marlene (Byron) Jones of Westchester, Pa.; Karen (Fred) Miller of Pie Town, N.M.; Lisa (Mark Hiller) Townsend of Williamsport; Ed (Kayce) Blackwell of Wellsboro; and Christine Blackwell (Randy Tate) of Truth or Consequences, N.M.
In addition to his father, Glenn Norman, Doug was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Brenda Blackwell.
A celebration of life will be held by the family on Oct. 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Morris Township Fire Hall, Morris, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Taussing Cancer Center at the Cleveland Clinic at my.clevelandclinic.org.
