Wanda J. Card
Wanda J. Card, 59, of Fairfield Township, passed away on Oct. 10, 2021, at UPMC Susquehanna.
She was born Sept. 27, 1962, in Camp Hill, daughter of the late Carl and Ethel (Folmar) Gawblick.
Wanda worked at Mellon Certified Restoration. She enjoyed exercising, crafting, restoring furniture, gardening and flowers.
Wanda was an angel that walked this earth far before she gained her wings. The number of lives she touched with her kindness and selflessness will remain unmatched. She loved hard, no matter who you were, and if there’s one thing she loved (that wasn’t her family), it was pink petunias and flip flopsĂ- but her family, that is the one thing she lived for.
Her granddaughter, Olivia Mae, was the light of her life. The glow in her eyes watching her daughter transition into motherhood and watching Olivia grow was nothing short of her pride and joy, as she was to many of us. She loved fiercely and for that, she was loved just as fiercely.
The outpouring love for her was indescribable, especially from her husband David. The love they shared was one of a story book, and she was so deserving of that fairytale.
Along with her granddaughter, she is survived by her husband, David N. Card; daughters, Amanda M. (Jesse) Berrier and Jenna L. Evelhair; sisters, Carol Berguson, Joan (Scott) Getgen, Shelia (Keith) Karschner, Linda (Andy) Powell, Bonnie (Greg) Confer, and Gloria Route.
There will be a life celebration Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home.
