Lois E. Myers

Lois E. Myers, previously of Muncy, went to be with her Heavenly Father peacefully on October 29, 2024.
Born in Pottsville, Pa on April 19, 1943, she was the daughter of Attorney Claude and Alice Leymeister Waltman. She graduated from Blue Mountain High School, received her BS in Elementary and Visually Handicapped Education from Kutztown University in 1965 and a Master of Education in Peripatology from Boston College in 1966. She was a teacher for the visually handicapped and employed early in her career with BLAST I.U., Clinton County I.U. and North Central Sight Services. She also substituted in elementary schools of Lycoming County. Most recently she was employed in medical records at Susquehanna Health System from 1989 until her retirement in 2014.
She was proceeded in death by her brother, Attorney Bruce Waltman, of Orwigsburg, in 2011.
Known for her boundless generosity, Lois was dedicated to helping others. She was a frequent blood donor. Lois was a member of Community Baptist Church. An avid reader and dedicated student of her Bible, she found solace and inspiration in its teachings. Her creative spirit shown through her writings as she was well known for her long letters to family and friends. She enjoyed creating elaborate treasure hunts for birthdays and holidays, filling these occasions with laughter and excitement. Lois also considered herself a kayak and canoe enthusiast and especially loved navigating the white water rapids of the Delaware River and Adirondacks.
She will be greatly missed by her three children whom she considered to be her greatest blessings; Jacqueline Johnston (David) of Frederick, Md; Todd Myers (Kristin) of Edinboro, Pa; and Jan Horn (Robert) of Cogan Station, Pa. She also leaves 15 grandchildren, Nicholas, Karinna, Nathaniel, Kyrie, Quentin, Kriste, Bryan, Daniel, Kassandra, Kaitlyn, Todd Jr, Steven, Samuel, Cassia and Nathan. There were four great grandchildren.
In following her wishes, there will be no services. It was her outmost desire to donate her body to medical science. To honor her memory, please consider a blood donation to the American Red Cross or simply reach out and help a neighbor.
A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Celebration Villa of Loyalsock for their never ending kindness and dedicated loving care to our mother over the last two years. Additionally, a sincere thank you to UPMC Hospice, nurses, aides, pastoral team and many volunteers for their special care and support.
