Sandra M. Moyer

Sandra M. Moyer, 85, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport surrounded by her loving family.

Born Feb. 6, 1939 in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Barbara (Seyfried) Saylor. She and her husband, Larry, shared 65 wonderful years together.

Sandra graduated from Catasauqua High School and earned a bachelor’s degree at Kutztown State College. After college, she worked at Catasauqua Elementary School and retired after 31 years of teaching. Sandra was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, and volunteered at the preschool for many years. She was very passionate about reading to the children. Sandra was also a member of Rose Croix Chapter and the Eastern Star of Catasauqua.

She is survived by a son, Todd C. Moyer, of Millville; a daughter, Allison T. Bloom, of Williamsport; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Bloom; a brother, Rodney and his wife, Donna, of Athens, Ga.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Moyer.

Funeral Services for the family will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street Montoursville, with Rev. Jeffrey L. LeCrone officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family will provide flowers, and suggest memorial contributions to St. Luke Lutheran Church Preschool, providing books for the children, at 1400 Market Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
