Robert L. Troisi, Jr.

Robert L. Troisi Jr., 81, a kind and loving father, husband and brother, died Monday, June 16, 2025, at Edenbrook Personal Care Home in Williamsport, following an extended illness.

Born Sept. 24, 1943, “Bob” was the oldest of six children born to the late Robert L. and Gloria E. Troisi.

Like all of his siblings, his formative years were spent in large part at a house at Parkwood and Elizabeth Streets, the northeast corner of Brandon Park. That setting and the annual two-week trip throughout the United States, arranged and conducted by his beloved mother and father, were the touchstones of his childhood.

Bob graduated from St. Mary’s High School and he married the love of his life, the former Mary Kiessling, They were married 45 years before Mary’s death in 2015. Together they raised two sons, Steven and Scott.

Bob was an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War era.

Over the years following military service, he worked notably as a shoe salesman at Hanover Shoe and later at the former Met Fab Division of Jersey Shore Steel in the maintenance department. He also was employed by Beiter’s Home and Appliance from 1992 to 1997.

What distinguished Bob was his kind, light-hearted spirit. He always had a big smile and a kind word for anyone.

Underscoring the quality person he was, he endured nearly four decades of medical complications and illnesses without one word of complaint or anger over the health fate he was dealt. He simply endured the best he could.

The family would like to thank the scores of medical people and personal care workers over the years who assisted Bob with compassion, competence and patience.

Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary and his parents.

In addition to his sons he is survived by four grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin, Ethan and Alira and siblings, Mark Troisi (Alice), David Troisi (Robin), Lee Troisi, Michele Knowlton (Doug) and Elaine Revie (John).

A graveside service at St. Boniface Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
