Nancy Jean Miller

Nancy Jean Miller, 91, of Williamsport a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and sister died Wednesday July 2nd at UPMC Williamsport.

Nancy was born in Williamsport on June 27th, 1934, to the late Fred F. and Thelma (Fink) Stahl. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1951. Nancy and her late husband Lawrence H. Miller were married for 52 years. Nancy began her career at Bell Telephone as an operator from 1951 to 1954. Later she worked at M&T Bank while being a teacher assistant through the seventies.

Nancy was a cheerleader in high school who loved her Yankees, raising countless litters of Yorkshire Terriers and being in a bridge club for many years. Nancy & Larry were snowbirds and enjoyed spending 30+ years living in Florida for 6 months out of the year and then year-round starting in 2001. It was in 2016 that Nancy left Florida for the last time and lived out her remaining years with Tim in Williamsport.

Nancy is survived by four sons, Fred (Connie) Miller of Princeton, NJ, Mike (Barb) Miller of Kutztown, PA, Tim Miller of Williamsport, PA and Todd, (Maryclaire) Miller of Baltimore, MD. Four grandchildren, Anna (Garrett Shafer) & Justin of Chicago, IL, Emily of Boston, MA, and Sarah (Justin Chinich) Miller of Oceanport, NJ.

All services for Nancy are being held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Nancy’s name to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o The Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
