Martin D. Miller
Martin D. Miller, 59, of Trout Run passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 after a long struggle with diabetes.
Born premature at 28 weeks, on June 16, 1966 in Williamsport, he grew to be larger than life. Marty was a son of Hope (Beaver) Miller Street of Trout Run and the late William Miller II.
He attended Lewis Township Elementary School and Lycoming Valley, where he began football. A 1985 graduate of W.A.H.S., he played offensive and defensive line for Millionaires Football. His favorite teachers were John Guild and Pat Dixson.
Marty was a “Jack of all trades” working at Mast Truss, Bogart Precast and Billtown Mechanical. He was always ready to provide a tool and help for any friend when asked. A special thanks to friends Rick, Donnie, and Joe.
He was a member of the NRA, Lycoming County Patriots and enjoyed hunting.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two uncles, Dean H. Beaver, of Halifax and M. Frederick Beaver of N.C.; his brother, William H. Miller III; two sisters, Kathy Miller Webb and Stephany Miller Harris; he was the uncle to six nephews, three nieces, six great-nephews, nine great-nieces; and one step son and daughter.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Miriam Orso Miller and his beloved boxer, Tess.
A funeral service to honor Marty’s life will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marty’s name may be made to American Diabetes Association (Eastern PA), P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
