Anne S. Mureddu
Anne S. Mureddu, 97, of Williamsport, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Williamsport Home.
She was beloved wife of the late Tony J. Mureddu with whom she shared 67 years of marriage at the time of his passing in January 2018.
Born on June 2, 1928 in Turbotville, Anne was the daughter of the late Williams C. and Henrietta (Reeder) Souleret.
Before retiring, she worked for over 22 years in Clerical at Weldon’s.
Anne raised her children in the Church of the Savior Lutheran Church in Williamsport, where she was active for many years in the Sunday School Group.
Anne’s greatest joy was found in the simple acts of sewing, knitting, baking, and cooking. She shared her heart and home through every thread, yarn or recipe.
She also loved reading and enjoyed the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
But above all, Anne loved her family and adored being their Mom, Nana, and “Great Old Nana”.
Mrs. Mureddu is survived by three children, A. Scott Mureddu (Teri) of Scio, New York, Lynne A. Mureddu of Williamsport, and Susan R. Hooker of Montoursville; five grandchildren, Jessica (Eric), Justin, and Andrew Mureddu and Kyle (Abbey) and David (Suzanne) Hooker; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanne V. Hartranft of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William C. and Richard C. Souleret; a sister, Mary E. Lyons; and a grandson, William (Billy) Hooker.
A graveside service honoring the life of Anne will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 14th at Exchange Community Cemetery at Saint James Episcopal Church in Exchange.
