Park Avenue project plan lacks punch without details
Williamsport Mayor Gabriel J. Campana has said on a few occasions recently that he has a plan to revitalize the Park Avenue area of the city.
Reuse of the former Trimtex building appears to be at the heart of the plan. Usage of the complex that involves science, technology, engineering and math seems to be involved.
That’s all well and good, but we would echo the sentiments of Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce President Vincent J. Matteo. He wants the mayor to supply more details, involve more parties in his plan, and a more detailed outline of the best means of using the applied sciences in the plan.
The idea is fine and involves an area of the city that needs bolstering. But until there are details, it lacks punch.
