To those under 20, we who have been in charge for the past half century have failed you. We have laid upon your shoulders the burden of a crippling national debt, and the legacy of exceeding the limits imposed by scientists regarding CO2 atmospheric concentration by the end of this decade, impacting your standard of living and your children’s, in my opinion. It will take guts and stamina unlike any generation since the Greatest Generation to change the trajectory of what you will inherit. My advice is to learn from the past rather than the present. Learn of the self sacrifice of the veterans of the wars of the last hundred years, for this is what it will take to keep life worth living.

The next dictator will pray on your fears, not your courage.
