We should be thankful for health care professionals
We are truly blessed by the quality of health care facilities and the hard work and professionalism of those working health care fields in our region.
We were reminded of this again by two articles in the weekend edition of the Williamsport Sun-Gazette.
First, River Valley Health and Dental is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
“I feel very proud and privileged to be even a small part of what happens here,” James Yoxtheimer, president and CEO said at the celebratory event.
We are all very privileged to have River Valley Health and Dental filling an important need in our community.
As Yoxtheimer noted, the facility is on track to see 50,000 patient visits by the end of the year. That number speaks to the important need River Valley Health and Dental’s staff are tirelessly providing to our community.
And River Valley Health and Dental is not alone. UPMC North Central Pa., Geisinger and other providers are addressing our communities’ needs diligently.
A conversation with Dr. Rutul Dalal of UPMC about monkeypox again reminded us of the impressive efforts by all of our health care professionals to stay ahead of trends and obstacles and to make sure the people of our communities have every opportunity to be safe and healthy.
Dalal’s words on this newest disease to worry Americans balanced our valid concerns with reassurances that no one should panic.
We appreciate Dr. Dalal’s measured approach and we all should appreciate everything our health care professionals do to keep us informed and prepared, and to be prepared themselves to treat our ailments and conditions.
Our region is, again, blessed by their hard work and service.
