Can’t change history

In response to the Charles Reeder letter in a recent edition, I agree it is not about white rights and white history and the removal of our statues. It is about our own American history.

The left has hailed their favorite tool yet again, “the race card”, to attack our American heritage and history and to tear down our statues, attack our founding fathers by hiding and erasing reminders of our past.

History is history, folks.

It really happened.

It’s not all about a “feel good” moment and hurt feelings.

This reminds me of everyone getting a trophy whether you win or lose in this generation’s coddled society.

History is like life where things happen which we don’t like we have to be able to look back and reflect on things that actually happened instead of forgetting or erasing them from the history books.

So get a backbone and “man up” (or woman up) as we would not wish to offend anyone, and put the statues back where they belong.

Stop using the race card as an excuse to attack and apologize for who you are, and remember you cannot change history, no matter how hard you try.
