Reckless driving

Regarding traffic on West Fourth Street near Roosevelt School, cars go very fast and motorists don’t pay attention to what they are doing. My neighbor had a little dog who got out of the yard. Someone hit him and did not stop. Would you have stopped? I know I would.

I don’t know how you can hit something and not check to see what you have done. I feel so bad for my neighbor. Her dog was only about two years old.

I know accidents happen. But drivers should pay more attention to what they are doing. I am 75 years old, still drive, and if I see an animal loose I drive slow. I also get out of my car and try to get them out of th street.

Please be more careful when driving, folks.
