The Republican option
I read the Oxfam Report submitted at the annual World Economic Forum at Davos. As usual Oxfam pointed out that 26 of the most wealthy men in the world own assets equal to the lowest 50 per cent of ALL people on the planet.
Oxfam appears to think this is a problem and this thinking is supported by various liberal groups. Several Conservative groups , however, point out that this perceived problem could be easily alleviated if the women of the world would work more hours to earn money instead of wasting their time on unpaid activities such as childcare or caring for elderly relatives.
I know which of these options GOP leaders would back. Why only 50 percent? Can it not be 75 percent? Or 80 percent?
