I was at work when an individual hit a car and just drove away. Fortunately an alert person who witnessed the incident recorded the license number and then reported the information to me. I immediately phoned the state police at Montoursville to report the incident. The receptionist could have cared less, after relaying the information I was told she did not require that. No trooper came until I wrote a letter of complaint to Harrisburg. The trooper that came could have cared less, in my opinion, and did zilch except fill out a report that I could turn into the insurance agency. To top this off, the road I use every day was just tarred and chipped and not paved due to the fact that the state police are funded by the outrageous gas tax we pay. No wonder the person in Montoursville almost got away with murder.
