Voters decide

Pennsylvania’s Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano and his Christian Nationalist pro-lifers believe Roe v. Wade was overturned because their prayers to Jesus made it happen.

Mastriano proclaimed, “We have the power of God with us. We have Jesus Christ that we’re serving here. He’s guiding and directing our steps.” Gee, if that’s the case, then prayer alone is the answer to all of humanity’s problems: homelessness, mass shootings, war, poverty, disease.

So why are all of these problems still around?

Apparently religious people aren’t praying hard enough. They’re asleep at the wheel. Falling down on the job. I believe they’re slackers. C’mon, get those rosaries out, kneel down, speak in tongues, chant, shake some gourds. Just get to work! Heck, you still to this day haven’t prayed away the gay. What’s the hold-up?

Mastriano also says he will win in November because, “My God will make it so.” Better ask Pennsylvania voters first, Doug. In my opinion, your god doesn’t have the last word, Doug, the voters do.
