Chaos and broken promises
For anyone concerned about Democrats managing the economy, consider the following facts — Republican de-regulation and capitalism run amuck led to the great Depression Enter Franklin Roosevelt and a progressive attitude that won the war and and saved the economy.
How can we forget George Bush and the 2008 meltdown of the economy. As he and Republicans in Congress hunkered down with “deer in the headlights” attitudes, President Obama came to the rescue so that a thriving economy was handed off to President Trump. I will long remember Bush response to the question as to the cause of the collapse.Sheepishly he responded by saying “Wall Street got drunk.”
After four years of Trump we were faced with the loss of 2.7 million jobs; a 36.3% increase in trade deficit; number of people lacking health insurance up by 3 million; federal debt increase by almost 6 trillion dollars; illegal immigration increasing by 14.7% per cent; coal production declined by 26.5% with the loss of 25% of coal mining jobs and the murder rate setting a new record. Trump had promised a wall to be paid for by Mexico, a replacement for Obamacare, 5% economic growth and the essential destruction of NATO. He and the Republican Congress failed to deliver anything other then a tax decrease for the very wealthy 1%. He did preside over the great closing of America, urging experts to consider drinking Lysol and consumption of pills intended for horses.
The country cannot stand for another four years of Trump-induced chaos and broken promises.
