If anyone wishes to read a story about the real problem with state funding and the budget mess Google:

"Living the good life off government benefits" from the whp Harrisburg station.

It covers the real problems with the budget black hole--- welfare type abusers.. not the stuff printed here about the incompetent partisan lawmakers kicking dirt at each other...

I think the whole liqour store thing is just fine the way it is. If he wants booze to help fund education, assess a tax on each sale. Not like we are going to drive outta state to avoid it. Another big revenue being missed is all these out of state workers here for the gas work. We don't need them, we have plenty of unemployed of our own to do these jobs. And don't give me that "specialized" crap. So few of those jobs are "specialized". For example,we have some of the very best pipe welders in the country here for example, so why are all these welding trucks displaying out of state tags? Think we need folks from out of state to shovel, paint, do electrical work, etc? Most of these are decent wage jobs, with benefits. Take a ride to some of the state land where this work is going on, pack a lunch, make it a family picnic, enjoy our resources & check the percentage of residents to non-residents. You will be shocked. These folks are not buying homes here, or payin

Of course one of them doesn't like the proposal. makes no mention of raising taxes or bringing an un-needed helicopter to the airport, or re-nameing bridges.

liked the quote referring to the expansion of Medicaid. Like a broken record its usually expansion or tax. No original ideas, just complaints about the opposition and their ideas.
