But, to say you started a business!!!-Nobody

Hint: Your approach is not in line with the local flavor. Listen to the Radio for important clues on presentation. What you are(business owner), & represent is in perfect harmony with what this area embraces.-JMHO, Have a Great Stress Free day!!-Scott

My son has Trisomy 21 (Downs).

I am not offended by Shulski because my son is far, far smarter than he is.

Shulski - 12:38 PM

I don't even mean half of what I say. I just am nasty to show you people how nasty and DUMB you sound to me. Debating with Capricorn is like arguing with an angry kid with Down's Syndrome. The guy is truly retarded, so he really only understands violence.

An angry kid with Down's Syndrome? The guy is truly retarded, so he really only understands violence.

Shulski you are, without a doubt, a warped, sick individual. As the aunt of a nephew with Down's Syndrome, I take exception to your sick comment.

Mike, in my experience, you were rewarded for excelling in your job if union rules didn’t hold you back. Let’s just say that a union environment isn’t for everyone, but some believe they need union protection. Others would rather have the opportunity to better themselves.

I don't care what job you have, you will always have those who do just enough to get by. Personally, I don't care what the next guy does. I go in and do my job to the best of my ability and leave at the end of the day. As a shop steward I've told a few folks that it's their job and it's what they are getting paid for, go do it. Union shop or not, you will always have those people.

Enigma's post was accurate, but it doesn't look like an attack for being a businessman; more like the opposite.

Try this on Ritty. This because of my moniker and political views? No jealousy?

Nobody, What are you talking about in your rants? The reason no one listens to you is not because you are a fabulously rich and intelligent business owner, it's because you're a jerk. I haven't seen anyone here giving you a hard time about your success. If you act toward your employees the way you act towards those on this forum, I'm glad I'm not one of them. If you want to explain your ideas, I'll listen. I may not agree, but I'll listen. BTW Owning a business does not make you an expert on economics or even business for that matter, but it does give you some amount of credibility on the subject of business. So stop being a jerk and start demonstrating your intellect if you have it.

merc, Congress has a seven percent approval rate. Shouldn't be a problem to put Ms. Pelosi back in charge. Less than four months to go; hang in there.

I got to say something after reading some of these comments from the "Bizarro universe"! You talk down unions but,you all on the 'right' think it's ok for your representatives to sit on their hands and DO NOTHING and they aren't even in a union!! If the 'workers' ain't going to do their JOB,I guess the boss has to do it and he's President Obama, whether you like it or not! "OBAMA 2016",take it easy I'm just happy we got this guy at the "RIGHT" time!!

Bottom line here is: what somebody says on the radio or TV, even if they have no more in common with anybody here than the man in the moon, counts as and is gospel.

Experience....real life every minute experience....is bragging if you actually talk back to the person.

But if that person is detached from you on the radio or TV, then it ain't bragging.

Correction---Ritty:" Nobody, did someone deride you for owning a business? I don't get the victimhood angle.

The answer is yes yes yes. Come on man, no you too?

When I state what I do, it is met with attacks. And I respond to that in kind. Victimhood, shmicktimhood!!

Do you think that I give a hoot if you feel sorry for me? I'm the luckiest man in the world, and nobody including Nobody should feel sorry for me. Nor would I want that even if my life were different.

I had union experience similar to Gavins. I was blue collar for the early part of my career and when I worked at a unionized plant I joined the union. California, at the time had no closed shops. When I tried to become active in the union, I found them harder to deal with than management. I also came to the conclusion that unionism fostered mediocrity. If you applied yourself, you felt foolish since those that only did enough to get by got the same wages and seniority determined layoffs.
