Power corrupts. Our founding fathers were well aware of this evil that prevailed among all mankind, and regardless of how great a document they established, there would remain the need to be dressed in readiness, and have our lamps lit.
Thus we have the 2nd Amendment. To protect ourselves from a government that is out of control.
We are in a battle for the body, soul, and spirit of America. We have elected men and women to rule over us, who are a clear reflection of the anti-Christ.
Let's just pause here and ask ourselves, "Why would we ever elect someone to rule over us who have such an agenda?" "Because we are rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing". It is not so much that we say these exact words but our actions portray this very thought.
Charles Finny, a minister of the word of God, who lived from 1792 to 1875, had this understanding for the place that the Church has in regards to politics. I quote from Charles Finny.
"The Church must take right ground in regards to politics. The time has come for Christians to vote for honest men and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse him.
God cannot sustain this free and blessed country, which we love and pray for, unless the Church will take right ground.
Politics are part of a religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to their country as part of their duty to God.
God will bless this nation according to the course Christians take in politics."
