Eric J. Anderson, 83, of 328 Arch St., Montoursville, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at The Gatehouse.
He was born April 25, 1929, in Delaware Township, Pa., the son of Eric H. and Fannie Hohl Anderson.
Eric was a Korean War Marine veteran and retired from the former GTE Sylvania. He was a member of the Eugene Grafius American Legion Post No. 104, DuBoistown VFW No. 7863, Marine Corp League, Eureka Lodge No. 335 F&AM and the Williamsport Consistory. Eric enjoyed woodworking, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dog, Gizzy.
He was predeceased by sisters, Thelma Ladd, Hilda Cramer, Vera Heiser and Rose Dunnamon; and a grandson, Garth Williams.
Eric is survived by his wife, the former Pauline E. Grier, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage; a daughter, Jerry Lee Peterson of Montoursville; two grandchildren, Shawn Williams and Desiree Ulmer; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. Interment will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
