Eleanor L. Williams, 85, of South Williamsport, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 1, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William J and Eva (DeWald) Rupert. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Charles L. Williams, in 2002; and three brothers, Paul, Emerson and Howard Rupert; and a sister, Alverna Hughey.
Eleanor was a 1947 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a member of St. John's-Newberry United Methodist Church. Eleanor had worked at GTE Sylvania and was a member of Sylvania Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed going to the river, attending Albright Life and spending time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen A. Williams of South Williamsport; stepson, Barry Williams (Cindy) of South Williamsport; a brother, Clarence Rupert of Linden; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
