Betty J. Hoffman, 87, of 437 Wilson St., died on Thursday, Oct. 3 2013, at home.
She was born on Nov. 3, 1925, in Williamsport, and was the daughter of John and Martha Ann Burrell Huss.
Betty was a 1943 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a member of St Mary's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed traveling and reading and she loved to cook. Betty was the owner of Hoffman Restaurant and Catering that was located on Washington Boulevard.
Betty is survived by a son, Tracy Hoffman, of Williamsport; one daughter, Patricia (Vernon) Bowman-Rozelle, of South Williamsport; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Bowman; a daughter, Kelly Hoffman Hart; five brothers, William Huss, Charles Huss, Eugene Huss, Woodrow Huss, Allamon Huss; and one sister, Esta O'Neil.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at 3 p.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. Kenneth E. Wagner-Pizza officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the church. The family will meet and greet friends at the church on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m.
Family suggests that memorial contributions in Betty's name be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Nativity, 844 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
