A forum for all Old Lycoming Township candidates will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at the township's fire company social hall, 1600 Dewey Ave.
The following candidates are invited: incumbent John Eck, who won the Democratic Party nomination as a write-in candidate, and challenger David Shirn, who won the Republican Party nomination, both for supervisor; Lori Markle for re-election as auditor; David C. Frey for re-election as tax collector; Carol Strand for judge of election; and Valerie Houser, Rita Kennedy, Peggy Mahaffey and Barbara Wascher for inspectors of election.
Sponsored by the Bottle Run Grange, each candidate whose name is on the Nov. 5 election ballot will have an opportunity to explain why they should be the candidate of choice for the township's voters, said Robert Hively, president and master of the grange.
Candidates will make a three-minute presentation followed by oral questions from opponents and written questions from attendees. Candidates' answers are limited to two minutes.
